Original LP
Buzzcocks' debut album was released on March 3rd 1978 [pictured below]. Early versions came with a silver-grey carrier bag with 'Product' written in black lettering at the top and the Buzzcocks logo, as it appeared on the label of the record, in an orange square [United Artists, UAG 30159].

Some mispressings were manufactured in 1978, with the six tracks on side one but missing 'I Need' from side two, although that title appeared on the sleeve and labels. Collectors of rarities – or who are particularly averse to that song – should be ready to part with over £100 for a copy.

Another less expensive rarity is a UK repress from 1980, which was released without the black lettering on the cover [Liberty UAG 30159].

Cassette
The album was first released on cassette in the UK in 1978, with white shells and blue lettering. The track listing was different, opening with 'Fiction Romance' on side one, with the LP opener 'Fast Cars' moved to side two to even up the running time [United Artists, TCK 30159].

First CD
Another Music In A Different Kitchen debuted on CD in Europe in 1988 on EMI's Fame budget reissue label [CD-FA 3199/ CDP 7 90299 2]. An expanded version came out on digipak in 1996 with the addition of the singles 'Orgasm Addict' (1977) and 'What Do I Get?' (1978), plus their B-sides.

A remastered version of this release, from Abbey Road, appeared in a standard jewel case in Europe in 2001 [7243 5 34405 2 7]. The first US release on CD arrived in the same year on Nettwerk America, with the same catalogue number.

A double CD edition of Another Music In A Different Kitchen, in both jewel case and digipak, was launched in 2008. Remastered by Peter Mew, CD 1 comprised the original album running order, the four single A and B sides, and a John Peel session from September 1977. Meanwhile, CD 2 featured 14 demos, recorded in London and Manchester between August and December 1977, and nine songs recorded at the Electric Circus venue in Manchester on October the 2nd 1977 [EMI 50999 725106 2 9].

In 2019 the CD was remastered from the original tapes at Fluid Mastering, London and reissued by Domino in the UK, Europe and the US in a mini-replica sleeve with a 36-page booklet featuring photos and notes by journalist Jon Savage [REWIGCD126].

Special Edition vinyl
In 2015 a limited edition 180g translucent orange vinyl LP was released in the UK and the US on Parlophone [UAG 30159, 0825646049011]. Four years later, Domino Records released a remastered LP, with notes from Jon Savage and an eight-page booklet [pictured below] in the UK, Europe and the US [REWIGLP126] and on silver vinyl in the US [REWIGLP126X].
