Marantz Model 60n Streaming Amplifier Ready For Roon

The Model 60n is one of the first Marantz products to brandish a ‘Roon Ready’ label, now appearing on the HEOS app, but there’s no explicit roadmap for which other Marantz units (or from Denon, for that matter) will receive the same update. Revealing timings about specific models is tricky, partly as Roon’s certification process can be unpredictable. We also understand that Roon (acquired by Harman International in 2023) is not keen on brands revealing more details ahead of time. Typically, the best way of discovering if a specific model is Roon Ready is to check the ‘Partners’ pages on the Roon website, or seek out the celebratory marketing blurb from said brand.

Marantz’s parent, Masimo, indicates that most of its future products will be submitted for certification, as will a few existing units, though it’s reasonable to assume that the company will prioritise upmarket models with plenty of lifecycle remaining. It’s also worth remembering that Marantz and Denon products share the underlying technology, potentially making the certification of a model easier if a similarly outfitted product has already received its blessing from Roon.
