Goldring cues the music
‘Plug-and-play’ turntable with E3 cart and phono stage
Goldring has re-entered the turntable arena with the GR3, its first vinyl player in 20 years. The result of a collaboration with a ‘British hi-fi manufacturer’ – no prizes for guessing that means Rega – this new £699 deck features a built-in phono stage for plug-and-play use, and a ‘carefully matched’ tonearm pre-fitted with Goldring’s E3 MM cartridge. Its 450x120x360mm (whd) plinth, in high-gloss black, is topped by a phenolic resin platter. Buyers get a choice of interconnects (1.5m RCA-to-RCA or 3m RCA-to-3.5mm) from QED, a fellow brand under the Armour Home Electronics umbrella.
