With its white baffle and walnut or black wood veneer finishes, Mission’s 750 is instantly recognisable as the speaker manufacturer’s latest ‘retro’ model, although unlike the 770, it is not a resurrection of an earlier design. A two-way bookshelf/standmount measuring 216x355x270mm (whd), it places a 135mm mineral-loaded polypropylene bass/mid driver and a 28mm microfibre dome tweeter (with damped rear chamber) in an inverted configuration. The speaker’s rear-ported MDF/particle board twin-wall cabinet is also damped with acoustic fibre. Pricing is £899, and Mission suggests its own Stance stands at £129 per pair as ideal partners.
