Building bridges

luxman’s network-to-usb go-between

Luxman continues to launch new models in advance of its 100th anniversary in 2025, with the L-509Z integrated amplifier [HFN May ’24] now followed by the Japanese marque’s first network transport/bridge. With a ‘blaster white’ finish matching its sibling models, the NT-07 (£6500) supports playback from networked/USB storage, plus streaming services including Qobuz and Tidal, at sampling rates up to 768kHz/32-bit and DSD512 over its USB output. Optical and coaxial digital audio outs (192kHz PCM) also feature, alongside HDMI input/output/ARC connectivity for integrating a TV and other sources. Control is via a supplied remote or the Luxman Stream app (iOS/Android); user settings include up/down sampling of PCM and DSD to ensure compatibility with the connected DAC.
